Please don't tell my uber popular kid that I published these dumb pics on the Internet.
Sometimes I just stare at Molly and wonder how on God's green earth did I spawn this blonde cheerleader? This alpha-girl of her middle school? This likely successful rush candidate to pledge Delta Delta Delta sometime in 2009?
Then, there are those moments when I know that Molly is mine, all mine and from me, of me. It can be seen in the rhythms of our speech and stride. Our facial expressions, especially when we furrow our brows in disgust, are identical. We're avid readers, able debators, not so great in math, but we make up for our mediocre quantitative reasoning in our dedication to writing.
But best of all, Molly and I posess the same penchant for odd and obscure humor that would certainly be puzzling and disturbing to many, but appreciated by an exclusive circle, such as those aficionados of John Cleese, Commedia dell'arte and drag queen bingo.
All hail to you, discriminating connoisseurs of such rare and wonderous wit! And just for you, Dr. Laura's Worst Nightmare is honored to present:
An Interpretive Dance and Performance Art by Molly and Grace

John Cleese, it doesn't get any funnier than him in his prime...

Those little angel eyes are kind of scary.

You are blessed to have each other.

I love John Cleese!
There ARE angels among us and they are Grace and Molly!

Look at the cheekbones on that child. Like flying buttresses. I could hang from my toes from those cheekbones!
And she gets 'em from her mama!

John Cleese is mega fabu. And so are his aficionados.
Grace, you and Molly look so much alike in those photos. The coloring may be different, but the bone structure is identical.

Very cool pics. I won't tell a soul. What a great idea. I think you would see a lot of me in both my daughters, especially Alison

Ain't it grand, though? We signed on for little girls to love and nurture and got so much... so much more. K and I suck ass at math too....maybe we could start our own coolio club?

Thank you, thank you, thank you all.
Pamalama.! Thought about you the other day as I was huffing up a long-ass hill, pokey and hot and chugging along at a 15 min/mile pace. Indeed, hubs took the pic, a true devotee of Commedia dell'arte if there ever was one.
And yes, those angel eyes are straight out of a gothic nightmare, yes?
Gentlemen of PSoTD and Heretik - welcome, as always, to The Nightmare. I like to call my site that or The Worst. Like Bill O'Reilly and his Factor.
MsJane and Carol - we are lucky to have our Filipina genes for the bone structure and love of shoes.
Margaret and Lulu - all of our girls rock and rock hard.
Bonnie - all ee-le-ven of your kids rock the hardest.
I love my readers! A round of Margaret's Hefenwesen for all!

She looks exactly like you! It must be so nice to have someone with the same sense of humor as you. Those pics are classic.

You are both just GORGEOUS! I cano totally believe she is alpha-girl in her school, she's beautiful and I'm sure she is a darling person, considering her cool mom! I could totally keep sucking up, but I'm being sincere and don't want to discredit myself!

I love these pics! You guys are funny *and* gorgeous; what's not to like?
And the Art History Charades experience will serve Molly so well if she ever has to take a slide test in college!

Grace, I have no Filipina genes. Where did I get my love of shoes from?
Posted by: Carol | April 12, 2005 at 02:23 PM
Ah, so expressive! Indeed it speaks! Oh my! Usually interpretive arts are so obscure, but your mere gesture! I stand in awe!
