Pleased to meetcha! Here's my card with a splash of Pellegrino!

Bizcard_2 Ordered today from the nifty designyourcard.com.

Look at me!  I'm the Modern Woman blogging on my futuristic computer!

I should have them by Monday or Tuesday, just in time to force them on everyone I meet at BlogHer.

By the way, I had lunch with Chris Nolan on Tuesday.  Chris is the West Coast Molly Ivins - witty, sexy drawl, full of juicy insider stuff, deceptively easy going but badass, oh mama, is The Chris Nolan badass.

And, of course, in the midst of all the badasseness that was Chris Nolan, I just had to splash half a bottle of fancy Italian mineral water on the swanky looking guys at the next table.  I was asking Chris if she had an office set-up similar to Markos Moulitsas, who apparently has a desk as big as an aircraft carrier, like THIS BIG (stretching my arms out wide, my right hand knocking over the bottle of fancy water; in slow motion I grabbed the bottle before it crashed to the floor but not before baptizing said swanky guys).

"Good recovery," said the swanks, drying themselves off with napkins.

"Errrrrr...thanks!" I answered, perhaps a little too brightly.

Despite this moment of extreme social awkwardness, Chris assured me that I would be perfectly fine and really all I need are three good talking points.  This is basic, Media Prep 101 - three solid sound bytes and practice them incessantly in the car or to the dog.

I can manage that.  In fact, I bet I can manage that in a far superior manner than our American President, don't you think?  One thing you can be damn sure of -  I won't be up on the stage kneading the other keynote panelists' shoulders for an overly familiar impromptu Shiatsu session.

Hey, Grace - remember last year how you were stalking Dooce? This year, I bet you'll have a few stalkers of your own!

Whoa Grace, you certainly seem to be feeling all-around mo betta. So good to have you REALLY back!

GREAT card. :)

I love those cards. We can totally card swap this year. I AM READY. Last year? Not so much!

Umm, about the stalking you. Do I have to take a number or are you just accepting stalkers as they approach you?

well, see, i know it's this serif typeface font thingy, but i could swear that says "modem woman" up there...

so, I havent gotten my mixmania yet. and this makes me wonder... are you my partner this time?

also. yo, I want a Grace business card! That's pretty damn kickass.

I was a total fool last year without cards. This year? Still a total fool but now I have cards.

But not as cool as yours.

Oh hells. I should make cards!

[Adds to a growing list of shite to get done before Friday]
